[NEWS] 2NE1’s ‘I Don’t Care’ Wins Mutizen 3 Times In A Row

Four-girl group 2NE1 has won the Mutizen award on SBS Inkigayo for the third week running.

On the afternoon of August 9th, at SBS Inkigayo’s live broadcast, 2NE1 won the Mutizen award with their album’s hit single, ‘I Don’t Care.’

2NE1 also won the Mutizen before, on July 26th and August 2nd, which means a triple crown for the girls. ‘I Don’t Care’ was also the number one on Inkigayo’s mobile ranking this week.

Idol group Bigbang’s Daesung and Seungri have made a ‘Big bang’ in the musical industry. 70% of the tickets for the creative musical ‘Shouting’ have been sold out. These two have each been on the musical ‘Sonagi’ and ‘Cats’ making this their second musical.

A celebrity advancing to the musical industry, this isn’t very surprising anymore. However it was hard to see top idol stars like Daesung or Seungri in musicals. So on one side people welcome their appearance saying “The interest for musicals will grow”, however some others say “Anyone who’s popular now can become the a main character for a musical” and not give the best regard towards this. Daesung and Seungri have become a hot issue in the musical industry. Why have they become so into this field?

Daesung and Seugnri’s interview was done in the ‘Shouting’ practice room in Seoul Namsan’s Cretive Center on the 3rd, at noon for an hour. After taking some pictures I talked to Seungri for about 25 minutes. The attitude towards the hard and sensitive questions for these two was completely different. Daesung would slightly go around the core of the questions and was flexible and experienced. On the other hand Seungri told his opinion straightly.

On KBS2 ‘Golden Ladder – Hallym University Episode’ which was broadcasted on the 9th, SNSD (Yoona, Sooyoung, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Taeyeon, Jessica, Tiffany, Sunny, Seohyun) showed off their talents.

On that day, University students that were good at imitating others appeared on the show. SNSD thought they would try as well, and quickly began to imitate others too.

Yoona especially gathered attention by doing a great job imitating Ahn Youngmi, who is popular in ‘Gag Concert – Dressing Room Kang Teacher.’

The national girl group Girls’ Generation are closing up their 2 month activity

As of the 9th of August SNSD have performed their last ‘Tell Me Your Wish’ performance of their second mini album on SBS Inkigayo. SNSD made a comeback in 6 months and concluded their second mini album activity in 2 months.

On this day SNSD performed ‘Tell Me Your Wish’ with a special dance from Hyoyeon attracting viewers. Out of many girl groups, SNSD displayed the greatest popularity and trend following their 2nd mini album resignation.

SNSD being called a ‘national girl group’ as a nickname; became the trend wave by presenting the nation’s culture code.
