[NEWS] SNSD Awarded ‘Teen Musical Artist’ Award

SNSD was awarded a ‘Korean Cultural Entertainment’ award.

They were awarded at the ’17th Korean Cultural Entertainment Awards’ on the 30th of November from 5pm at Seoul, YeoUiDo 63 City Hall. The ‘Adult Music’ award went to Jang YoonJung. The ceremony was hosted by singer and composer Jung WonSoo, singer Ha MyungJi, 2007 Miss Korea Park GaWon, MC Shin YoungIl and celebrity Han DaMin.

[NEWS] Top 10 for 2009 Melon Music Awards Confirmed

The long-awaited top 10 list for ‘2009 Melon Music Awards 2009′ has been confirmed.

The upcoming event to be held on 16th December in Olympic Park Olympic Hall has confirmed the nominees for the awards to be – 2NE1, 2PM, 8eight, Davichi, Brown Eyed Girls, So Nyeo Shi Dae, Super Junior, KARA, K Will and GDragon.

[NEWS] SNSD Yuri Falls Asleep While Making Kimchi

On ‘Invincible Youth’ November 20th, SNSD Yuri, Sunny, Brown Eyed Girls Narsha, 4Minute Hyuna, T-Ara Hyomin, Secret Sunhwa and Kara Goo Hara started to make Kimchi.

On this cold day, while sleepily rubbing their eyes the G7 began making Kimchi. In the midst of this, Yuri dozed off.

People began to say “how can you fall asleep while making Kimchi?” then the comments turned around to “she must have been very tired to have fallen alseep while making Kimchi.” Yuri woke up to say “I fall asleep if I work sitting down,” so the G7 shouted out “then stand up and do it.”

So Yuri stood up and made Kimchi, and started to dance. The other G7 members who were hard at work yelled out “you’re flying dust around the place!!” Yuri was shocked.

[NEWS] SNSD SooYoung Congratulates Her Sister’s Debut

Sooyoung congratulated her sister for her musical debut by sending her a huge garland of flowers. (It is Korean tradition to send flowers in this way, which is given on special occasions; weddings, funerals, birthdays)

On the 20th at Seoul KwangJinKu Universal Art Centre a press call was opened for the musical ‘Jack The Ripper’ which Choi SooJin is being casted in. At the event centre, fans of Ahn JaeWook and Kim WonJoon sent around ten garlands of flowers gaining a lot of attention. The garland that gained the most attention were the flowers sentby Sooyoung congratulating her sister. It reads ‘Choi SooJin Unni fighting.’

Choi Soojin is taking up the role of a prostitute who goes to work for the first time and meets Daniel to fall in love with him.In 1888 ‘Jack the Ripper’ murdered at least five prostitutes using hideous methods, this was investigated by serious crime detectives and took up front pages on the ‘London Times.’

The first musical takes place between November 13th to December 13th, and the second will take place between January 8th to January 31st in 2010.

Choi Soojin was already quite well known to be the beautiful sister of Sooyoung, topping most celebrities in glamour.

[NEWS] SNSD Yuri Shows Off Her Yoga Skills

So Nyeo Shi Dae Yuri reveals her yoga skills on KBS 2TV ‘Invincible Youth’.

During the filming of the show on 11th November, the G7 members have to warm up their body with exercise before setting out to do work. And the girls did yoga with Yuri’s guidance.

What was funny was that KARA Goo Hara, one of the ambassadors for KARA’s butt dance, had appeared stiff when doing yoga. The other members said, “Even though you can do the butt dance, it seems that you are still lacking in terms of flexibility.”

SNSD’s member Jessica revealed ‘a set of 3 mistakes’ at a variety show.

On the broadcast of SBS “Strong Heart” on the 17, Jessica shared her story titled “Dance Singer’s Sadness” which talked about mistakes she had made in the past. Not only did she talk about it, she stood up and physically showed her ‘set of 3 mistakes,’ making the guests laugh.

f(x)’s member Krystal (Korean name Jung Soojung) showed affection towards her sister Jessica (Korean name Jung Sooyeon).

Krystal stated in her recent interview with Newsen that she was able to see her sister Jessica during the month of September when f(x) debuted due to Jessica’s more relaxed schedule. They often encouraged each other when they met at home or at the practice room. Krystal then said, “But now my sister is busy with musical rehearsals, so we don’t get to see each other as much.”

The music website http://www.monkey3.co.kr hosted a poll asking “Which female star would you like to go on a date with on the first day of snowfall?” and Jessica was voted as first.

792 Monkey3 members participated in the poll, which took place from November 13 to 18, and Jessica won 30% of the votes (239 people) because “they would be the happiest people in the world if they could be with Jessica” and “on their date they would like to walk together making footprints on the snow.”

[NEWS] SuJu SungMin Confesses, “I don’t See Sunny As An Entertainer”

Once known to have rumours of love relationship, Super Junior SungMin talks about hoobae (junior) singer So Nyeo Shi Dae Sunny.

SungMin took part in the filming for KBS 2TV Star Golden Bell recently when he has voted Sunny as the person he don’t see as an entertainer.

He explained, “The moment I see Sunny with sleep* in her eyes and calling me ‘Oppa, hello?’ the next day after So Nyeo Shi Dae spent the whole of the previous night practising their choreography, I had never seen her as an entertainer.”

Guess how Sunny has refuted SungMin on the show.

[NEWS] SNSD Unveils Their Asia Concert Tour Poster

Having announced that SNSD was going to have their first-ever Asia concert tour this December a week ago, their concert poster was unveiled to the public by SM Entertainment today.

The girls look bright and cheery in their cheerleading outfits, complete with pom-pons in their hands.

Their concert tour is titled “Girls’ Generation In to the new world” and will see the girls tour countries around Asia like Shanghai (China), Bangkok (Thailand) besides Korea. While dates for their overseas gigs are yet to be confirmed, the girls will be partying with their fans on 19 and 20th December at the Seoul Olympic Stadium.
