[NEWS ]Park JinYoung and Seo InYoung to Guest on Family Outing

Singers Park JinYoung and Jewelry Seo InYoung will transform as new family members for 2 days 1 night.

They both have appeared for the filming for SBS Family Outing from 30th November till 1st December as guest appearances.

According to a staff from the production team, “Park Jin Young and Seo InYoung have participated in filming of Family Outing. It is rare for Park JinYoung to appear on variety shows even though he has appeared many times on talk shows, and he showed his hardworking side during filming. Seo In Young also showed her ’sense’ for variety show during the filming.”

 

[NEWS] Narsha Reveals Her Real Age Because of Seo InYoung

It was reported last week that Narsha was actually two years older than what everyone knew. She had revealed on a recording of Strong Heart (Kang Shim Jang) that she was 29, instead of 27 which everyone thought it was.

That was finally aired on the 20th where Narsha revealed, “This is the first time I am revealing this since my debut four years ago. When I debuted, I said that I was born in 1983 (meaning that she is 27). But I am actually going to be 30 next year. I was born in 1981 and I took off my real age by two when I did my profile. I am going to be 30 just like Jang Nara and Park Ye Jin (both were on the same show) next year.”

[NEWS] KBS ‘Shall We Dance?’ Chuseok Special

With big time Korean stations SBS and MBC planning to air special Idol related Chuseok Specials, KBS follows up with plans to air a special MVP dance competition episode titled ‘Shall We Dance?’ as a Chuseok special, featuring a triple crown of actors, singers, and comedians.

The show will feature many big time favorite idols such as SHINee’s Minho, Kim Tae Woo, Park Jae Jung, Boom, SNSD’s Sooyoung, KARA’s Han Seung Yeon, Jewelry’s Seo In Young, Kyeon Miri, Kim Shin Young, and Park Sohyun fighting for the title of dancing MVP.

Jewelry Seo InYoung revealed that she found senior singer Baek JiYoung scary.

Seo InYoung and fellow Jewelry member Kim EunJung were a team on SBS ‘Quiz! YookGamDaeGyeol’ where they were put to contest against singer Baek JiYoung. And Baek JiYoung said, “According to the fixed rules to the show, you can use casual language to attack. Attack with causal like you would if you are talking to a junior.”

Group 2NE1 member Sandara Park has been voted as the most ‘edgy girl’ (a lady with an edge; a trendsetter).

On internet site Bugs a survey on ‘Which female star suits the name of edge girl best’ from 7th to 14th September. And of the 2,242 netizens who voted, Sandara Park received 1,083 votes (48.31%) coming in at #1 on the survey. Netizens say, “You know that she is a edge girl just by looking at her hairstyles”, “It is Sandara Park’s era these days” etc

[NEWS] Seo In Young Publishes a Book

Seo In Young is the certified “It-Girl” of Korea. She’s defining her brand and becoming one of the Renaissance women of pop culture. Fashionista, fake wife to Crown J / popular witch character on We Got Married, and singer (both solo and of one of the longest running girl groups Jewelry), this girl has got it going on right now!

At the age of 25, Seo In Young is adding another title to her resume: fashion designer. She has launched her own store in Korea through Baby Phat, a popular urban fashion line for women designed by Kimora Lee Simmons.

She said herself that running a “clothing line business was a dream of mine. There were many offers from many companies, but none that interested me enough. The United States has a lot of market research for fashion.”

The singer took some time off to recuperate from all the Jewelry activities in Korea. She visited the US to “literally catch my breath. After 8 years of Jewelry, it was the first time I felt like I could breathe properly for the first time. I went to New York and saw a lot of concerts in Las Vegas.”

Another job title she can add is author! She wrote a personal style book called “Seo In Young’s Playing with Trends.” It’s nothing personal she says, “The book is not deep. I did not write an autobiography of the great life I have lived.”

[INFO+PICS] We Got Married Episode 38 Picture Summary

Son Dambi and Marco’s 100th day movie concept wedding photoshoot was pretty well-taken I must admit. They have the charisma, physiques and are able to strike all the poses as asked. It would definitely make for an excellent wedding album. But other than that, I really can’t see how this is a wedding photoshoot. It felt like generic models coming together for a photoshoot.

Hwanhee and Hwayobi continued their 100th wedding photoshoot in traditional hanbok at their traditional house, hanok.

Hyung Don’s date with his No.1 fan continues here. The focus is definitely away from Crown J and Seo In Young. And with news of their departure confirmed a few days ago, we can now understand why this was so.

Hwang Bo and Kim Hyun Joong final appearance on the program. Their final journey ends at Mount Halla as they shed buckets of tears. They will be missed, especially Hyun Joong’s witty remarks. Thanks for the entertainment.

The replacement couple for Hwang Bo and Kim Hyun Joong will however be revealed only next week. Wise choice by the PDs to keep it a mystery.

[NEWS] Seo In Young and Wonder Girls Are Fashion and Style Icons of 2008

Seo In Young and the Wonder Girls have been chosen as the leading fashion and style icons respectively for 2008. The 2008 Korea Fashion & Design Awards organized by Korea’s style network, DongAh TV picked Seo In Young as Fashion Icon of the Year while Wonder Girls were the Style Icon of the Year.

Seo In Young fashion sense came into prominence thanks to her new product lady tag on popular MBC program We Got Married. Her portrayal of a lady with a strong sense of fashion won her the Fashion Icon of the Year award.

Meanwhile, the Wonder Girls were recognized as the Style Icon of the Year thanks to their resplendent images shown in their So Hot and Nobody song. Other winners include actor Jung Woo Sung and actress Kim Ha Neul who were named Best Dressers for 2008 Korea Fashion & Design Awards.

The 2008 Korea Fashion & Design Awards ceremony will be held next Monday, 15th December at the Grand Hyatt Seoul Hotel ballroom. More pictures!

In other news, JYP Entertainment has created a Wonder Girls Youtube channel where all the official videos like MVs, making of are uploaded there. Still not very cool about them removing my Nobody MV but I guess it’s useless to upload anything official in future.

[NEWS] Crown J and Seo In Young Will Leave We Got Married Next January

I resisted blogging this but eventually reality got to me. We have just 1 more day to seeing the last of JoongBo on We Got Married, and then this news hit a few days ago which announced that the Ant Couple would also be departing the show by next January. Their departure which had been coming frankly due to a lack of airtime and the familiar been there, done that syndrome will herald the end of the pioneer generation as Season 1 comes to a close.

It was revealed 2 days ago that Crown J and Seo In Young will be the next couple to depart MBC Sunday Sunday Night We Got Married. The PDs expressed, “Seo In Young and Crown J couple will film until the end of December and then depart completely. Their segments will finish airing by January.”

Seo In Young management, Star Empire confirmed the news, “Seo In Young was only supposed to film until November. But it was specially extended until December. After her filming for We Got Married ends in December, she will going to America for a vacation in January before returning home.” Meanwhile, Crown J is also understood to be heading to America in January as well to work on his music. Coincidence? Maybe. A honeymoon in America, anyone?

A representative from Star Empire added, “Seo In Young hasn’t been in good health since her Jewelry promotion and then she started her solo album promotion. It was about time that she got a break”. The PDs of We Got Married expressed, “We were worried somewhat about her (In Young) health during this while and we hope she gets a nice break this time around.”

Seo In Young and Crown J departure will mean that the “purge” of all the pioneer couples have been completed. Jung Hyung Don – Saori, Lee Hwi Jae – Jo Yeo Jeong (always never mentioned, but I WILL), Andy – Solbi, Alex – Shin Ae (twice) all left the show earlier. Kim Hyun Joong – Hwang Bo will make their final appearance this Sunday (although they completed filming in November).

With only 2 couples (Marco – Son Dambi, Hwanhee – Hwayobi) remaining on the show soon, the PDs are now actively scouting for new members to take their place. They expressed, “At the beginning of the new year (2009), 2 new experimental couples will be added. At least one of the couple will be accepted onto the show permenently if they create some interest among viewers.”

They ended by saying, “The couples from season one were on the show for 6 to 8 months and the novelty factor might have disappeared due to the length. We are considering changing it to just 3 months instead. While they are a couple, if they become unsure or are unable to hit their peak (lack of chemistry), we will make it (scripted?) in a way that they can make the decisive changes.”

I have had a love-hate relationship with the Ant couple. Hated them initially but grew to love them. Hated Hyung Don moving in with them, but grew to like the family concept somewhat. The tantrums of the witch Seo In Young, the random english of A-Town Crown J (I even bought the A! shirt), her shoes, his bling-bling (and clean shoes), his special events (Too Much rocks), I could go on and on frankly. Kinda early to say goodbye, their presence will be sorely missed.

Thinking about the past, where it was short (1 hour), simple (believable) and sweet (romantic chemistry). But it’s still only make-believe afterall.
