Rain was pissed off and didn’t acknowledge his MBLAQ members’ greetings for 3 whole days.

MBLAQ spilled the beans about their mentor and producer on the upcoming episode of the KBS2 TV variety program, “Star Golden Bell.” The MC, Jeon Hyun-moo asked the newcomers, “There seems to be a scary side to Rain, the producer. Was there a time when he was not?” To this question, the boys replied:

The doors of Hollywood are continuing to open for Korean superstar Rain who is currently looking through several scripts for his next big screen appearance, according to his agency on Friday.

“He is currently looking at about six scripts but has not reached any sort of decision yet,” an official at J.Tune Entertainment said. “He is taking his time to decide, looking through each one carefully with an open mindset.”

Rain’s Documentary Scores Multiple Nominations for Asia TV Awards

A documentary about Korean superstar Rain “Hip Korea, Seoul Vibes” has been nominated in four categories at the 14th Asian Television Awards, according to his agency on Friday.

The documentary, which aired worldwide on the Discovery Channel earlier this year, was nominated in the following categories — Best Music Program, Best Infotainment Program, Best Direction and Best Cross-Platform Content, J. Tune Entertainment announced in a press release.

It may not be an exaggeration to say that today’s Korean pop charts are literally “occupied” by boy bands and girl groups such as the Wonder Girls and TVXQ, whose members are in their late teens and early 20s and dance to computerized hip-hop music.

This trend is making it harder than ever to watch sophisticated performances by middle-aged artists on the small screen particularly during primetime hours.

Lim Jin-mo, one of the country’s most influential music critics, said the unbalanced exposure of singers to the media will undermine K-pop’s international competitiveness and eventually devastate the country’s breeding ground for young musical prodigies.

A live program took place on 23rd October in Seoul Tower and the idea of the new music awards ceremony was revealed. Previously on 16th October, the note “This year there will be no MKMF’ was posted on Mnet’s official homepage, the change of the music ceremony was to give it a new transformation as mentioned by Mnet.

Korean singer, actor and producer Rain says he “now knows how Park Jin-young feels” after watching his own newcomers MBLAQ perform on stage.

After wrapping up his Seoul performance of the Asian tour “Legend of Rainism”, held at Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium on Friday, the singer met with the media to share his thoughts on his first and new boy band.

“I was watching the first performance of MBLAQ from backstage, and I was more nervous than when I was debuting,” the 27-year-old star was quoted as saying. “I thought of Park Jin-young suddenly so I called him.”
