[NEWS] Big Bang Doing Well in Japan

Big Bang, one of South Korea’s top pop idol groups, is performing well in Japan, the world’s second largest album market.
According to press reports, “Big Bang,” the group’s first album in Japan, released on Aug. 19, ranked third on the weekly Oricon chart. The album got off to a quick start by taking second place on the daily Oricon chart on its release day.

Big Bang’s 2009 live concert DVD, “Big Show,” which was also released on Aug. 19, placed fifth in weekly sales.

Big Bang made its debut in 2006 with the single “Big Bang” and instantly made a splash with songs like “Lie” as well as their trendy fashion styles.

Meanwhile, the five-member boy band postponed its October concert tour in Japan to early next year due to Dae-sung’s injury from a car accident. Big Bang had plans to perform in Nagoya, Osaka, Yokohama and Tokyo from Oct. 26 to Nov. 4.

Dae-sung underwent a surgery last week after being injured in an auto accident that also hurt his manager and stylist on Aug. 11.

JYP Entertainment’s CEO Park Jin Young reveals his close relationship with singer Rain.

He uploaded a photo on his Twitter account on 26th August, with the note “Last night in Korea. 3am in da club. Loud music, cigar, champagne, with my brother Rain, Cool..” attached.

The photo featured him posing with singer Rain while smoking a cigar. Netizens’ responses were, “Haha~ I love pictures when you guys are together”, “Must have been loads of fun (: Both of you guys look amazing” etc.

Park Jin Young is back in Korea to work on 2PM’s upcoming new single album.

[NEWS] Despites The Crisis, Changmin is Still Concentrating on His Acting Debut

“This first debut, I want to carry it perfectly.”

DBSK member Changmin (21) has been concentrating on acting training for his first challenge drama “Paradise Ranch”. Recently, DBSK is in the process of a lawsuit case related to some of its members. During this lawsuit period, there has been differences in both group and individual activities of the members and inflicts repeated spur in the drama preparation.

Just few days ago, after finishing a performance in Japan, Changmin returned home and when there isn’t any official activity, he’s fully absorbed in drama training.

From Changmin’s assistant, “The series of recent crisis creates burdensome to him mentally, is true. But as acting has been his long dream goal, this makes a great motivation for him. From now on, he’s going to be busy traveling back and forth between Korea and Japan. Even from his recent departure (in Korea) few days ago, he already portrayed an excitement about the drama preparation.”

“Paradise Ranch” is a co-production drama between SM Entertainment and Samhwa Networks. This drama is set to broadcasted at the end of this year. A delightful story of romance is blended by beautiful music will show the fresh youth romantic acting of Changmin. The drama will enter its first shooting early next month.

[NEWS] 2NE1 to End Promotions for ‘I Don’t Care’ With 3rd Remix – Unplugged Version

Popular girl group 2NE1 will reveal the 3rd remix version to the song ‘I Don’t Care’.

The group won 5 consecutive #1 on KBS Music Bank and 3 consecutive #1 on SBS Inkigayo, as well as topping various online music charts, taking the Kpop realm by storm with the song ‘I Don’t Care’.

A representative from YG Entertainment said, “2NE1 has much greed to show everyone new features every time through much practice.”

The 3rd remix will be made by Roller coaster Jinu and 1TYM’s Song BaekKyung and will be a unplugged version. It will be a remix with a 180degrees transformation from the original song, and will be revealed on SBS Inkigayo on 30th August.

The group will move on to promote 4 other songs from their 1st minialbum as followup promotions from ‘I Don’t Care’.

Group Super Junior Kim HeeChul talks about the acting passion of his SM Town family member Dong Bang Shin Ki UKnow YunHo.

HeeChul was present at the press conference of his comeback drama SBS weekend drama ‘Thousand times I love you’ and talked about UKnow YunHo’s recent conditions.

He said, “I talked a lot with UKnow, and we spent fun time together. He is a friend with leadership and does well in everything. And he is recently living his drama character. He wears his training suit and uses dialect.”

“YunHo really like acting and wants to do well. He is living like his character well and brings out his drama character well.”

Meanwhile the first episode to UKnow YunHo’s debut drama ‘Heading The Ground’ will be aired on 9th September.

[NEWS] SNSD Jessica to Star in Musical ‘Legally Blonde’

So Nyeo Shi Dae Jessica will make her musical debut.

She will be part of the cast team for musical ‘Legally Blonde’ to take place on 14th November in Seoul SamSungDong CoEX Atrium.

One of the officials revealed on 26th August, “Jessica has been casted for the musical ‘Legally Blonde’.” With that, Jessica will transform from a singer to an actress on the musical stage. This is eye-catching especially since Jessica’s new golden hair for So Nyeo Shi Dae ‘Tell Me Your Wish’ promotions was well received by fans.

‘Legally Blonde The Musical’ is a Broadway musical based on a Hollywood movie aired in 2001. Jessica will be acting alongside actors Kim DongWook and singer Kim JongJin.

[NEWS] Fangirls Flock To TVXQ’s Yunho’s Filming Location

Fangirls are flocking to the filming locations of MBC TV’s new drama 『Heading to the Ground』. They do this just to catch a glimpse of the Leader from the group TVXQ, Yunho.

Yunho, who is doing his acting activities under his real name, Jung Yunho, is starring in the show with Ara, a talent from the same management company as him. It is a love story between Cha Bong Goon, who holds bitterness in his heart, and Kang Hye Bin, a girl who has everything, but wants to fulfill her dreams with her own capabilities.

Yunho’s fans are showing up at every location that the filming takes place at. When there’s a spare moment, between meals, and even when they do late filming, the fans supply them with snacks so that they don’t have to go hungry. They also prepared 120 servings of Samgaetang for the production crew, and the fans are really passionate and concerned about their health.
