[NEWS] 2NE1’s Solo Concert Unlikely to Happen

About a month ago, we reported about a possible solo concert for 2NE1 due to their popularity ever since debut. While some thought it was a great thing, others were criticizing YG Entertainment for rushing 2NE1 to be the first rookie group to hold a concert so soon. Well, it looks like it isn’t going to happen after all!

On the 12th, president of YG Entertainment, Yang Hyun Suk, revealed the news through YG’s official homepage. He started it off with commenting:

The 2009 Mnet Asian Music Awards Show has been trying actively to get Jaebeom be a part of 2PM for at least the few hours that the ceremony is held. MAMA representatives have expressed that if it’s possible, they would love to have Jaebeom at least attend the ceremonies. “In 2009, 2PM was a very active group and at the center of it all was Jaebeom, it would only be natural for the heart and soul of this group to attend.”
