A photo of Big Bang member TOP taken with his mother and elder sister after Big Bang’s recent concert has raised much attention from fans.
TOP posted the photos on his own minihompy on 2nd February with the title ‘After a great concert this time’.
Also what had caught the attention of many is the bag that TOP’s mother carry with her in the photo with the words ‘TOP’s MOM’ printed on it. TOP wrote, “This is a present from Seung Hyun to mom.”

Big Bang member SeungRi together with actors Kim Bum and Yoo Seung Ho has been casted for movie ‘71′.
‘71′ is the story of 71 South Korean student soldiers who fought the war on the morning of 10th August 1950 with North Korean army.
SeungRi, whose hometown is in GwangJoo, will be using his accent in the movie acting as one of the student soldiers. In the movie, the 71 student soldiers will be led by their commanders Park Ha Seob (played by Kim Bum) and Yoo Jin (Yoo Seung Ho).
This will be SeungRi’s second appearance in movie after the previous filming of ‘Why did you come to our house’. SeungRi was casted as one of the student soldier through a public audition.
YG Entertainment said, “This will be a good acting experience for SeungRi. After his acting debut in musical ‘Sonagi’ last year, SeungRi will move on to try other areas like dramas and movies.”

Since the time SJ debuted till now, we have recieved tons of emails, phonecalls, SMS asking about the boys. Big Bang performed in front of 13,000 fans for three days (January 30, 31, and February 1) at the Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium in Seoul for their 2009 “Big Show” concert.
They performed their hit songs “Day By Day” (하루하루), “Sunset Glow” (붉은노을), and “Last Farewell” (마지막 인사) for a total of 23 songs. These included Tae Yang’s “Look Only At Me” (나만 바라봐), which he released as a solo artist, and Dae Sung’s first performance of his trot song “It’s A Big Hit” (대박이야), released on January 29 as a digital single.
YG Entertainment reported that 30 fans fainted and were treated immediately, and said that some even came back to the concert with high spirits.
The concert also included a “Beethoven Virus” (MBC drama) parody.

10,000 fans gather for 6 Korean bands.
The popular Korean wave, or “hallyu,” of Korean dramas may be on thin ice but the hallyu of K-pop is well alive.
Six Korean singers (Sin Hye-seong, Jeon Jin, Wheesung, Tei, SG Wannabe, Super Junior-Happy) held the joint concert entitled “3rd K-POP Super Live” in Tokyo on 31st January.
The singers talked with the audience in Korean and Japanese and the viewers cheered passionately with glowsticks and signs when their favorite singers came to the stage. Despite the lack of any fancy stage setting or special effects, audience members stood up and cheered from the very first song.
The most spectacular response was for Sin Hye-seong and Jeon Jin, members of the Korean idol group Sinhwa, who command a large fan base in Japan. Japanese fans spent the night at the hotel lobby where the two singers stayed and cheered their performance waving luminous orange-lit glowsticks.
Jeon, who performed the concert’s closing, showcased powerful dance and ballad numbers including “Wa” and “Love Doesn’t Come” throughout the show. He said, “If Japanese fan support for Korean singers continues, we can continuously visit Japan to perform.” He also earned applause when he promised to learn more Japanese.
Sin took to the stage with a band and sang his hits “Awaken,” “Because It’s You” and “Same Thought.” He said, “I recently shot the second mini album music video for my third album in Sapporo and will visit Japan again with new songs.”
Meanwhile, Super Junior-Happy opened the day’s concert. After delivering greetings in Japanese, they sang “Cooking Cooking!,” “Sunny” and “Pajama Party.”
Tei and SG Wannabe, who have already held solo concerts in Japan and boast a solid fan following, featured their signature powerful vocals. Tei showcased his hits “A Miracle-like Story” and “Love leaves its scent” as well as displayed superb stage manners and fluent Japanese.
Many audience members sang along with SG Wannabe’s “Timeless” and “Partner for Life” in Korean.
Korean and Japanese entertainment business officials at the concert said the event was meaningful in that it showed that K-POP can revive the hallyu boom, which started because of Korean dramas and is said to be losing steam.

GDragon, leader to idol group Big Bang, speaks up directly about criticisms about his fashion on ‘Mnet 20’s Choice’ last year.
GDragon had wore a top with prints ‘69′ and ‘Fuck you too’ amd ‘I ♥ SEX’ onto the stage then and was in the centre of criticisms after that.
In Big Bang’s book ‘Shouting to you in the world’ released on 28th January, GDragon gave his stand about the incident.
He said, “The clothes I wear are not about price or brand but about expression. When I say that music is the energy that moves me, fashion and clothes are the platforms for widening imagination. I had always wanted to work in the fashion industry if given the time and opportunity, and in my spare time of writing songs, I do make drawings and designs of clothes.”
“I wear my clothes with no relations to social standards but just as I feel like it but this has got me many criticisms along the way too. But the issue is also raised that as an entertainer in the centre of many’s attention, my conduct should be reconsidered and appropriate.” He added carefully.
“And especially so as a young singer wearing what is said to be a suggestive top and standing in front of the media on the stage. But I’m just wearing it because the tee shirt is one of the products by my favourite designer John Galliano and I like it a lot.”
“And regarding my comment, ‘I don’t know anymore’ which was seen as an excuse by many, I have to apologise on my part of carelessness on that.”

KBS2TV Boys Before Flowers has maintained its stranglehold on the Mon-Tue drama timeslot yesterday and it looks like its only a matter of time before it gets elevated into a national drama based on the its latest ratings trend.
According to TNS Media Korea, Boys Before Flowers set another new record rating for the series as it obtained an impressive 29.7% yesterday, only 0.3 percentage points short of hitting 30%. This was an increase of 3.8 percentage points from its previous record of 25.9% set last Tuesday. And all eyes will be on tonight’s rating. The magical 30% mark might just be achieved tonight.
At the same time, rivals MBC East of Eden and SBS Terroir got ratings of 23.3% and 6.0% respectively. For East of Eden, it’s looking highly unlikely that it will claim back the No.1 position judging from the huge reaction over Boys Before Flowers now. But I am still going to keep watching it regardless.

Wang Biho is a famous gagman on KBS2TV Gag Concert who is perhaps known to many for making fun of DBSK last October and drawing flak from their Cassiopeia fanclub, prompting him to ‘raise the white flag’ and expressed that it was all done for fun and he was actually good friends with them. His latest target this time was DBSK’s juniors, girl group So Nyeo Shi Dae.
Wang Biho (original name: Yoon Hyeong Bin) appeared in KBS2TV Gag Concert and in his segment, Balsam Village School, he made fun of So Nyeo Shi Dae by calling them the ‘Female Super Junior’ and pronounced their hit song ‘Gee’ as ‘Gi’ instead, creating a sudden and explosive laughter in the audience.
Wang Biho continued his venomous gags, “I am a So Nyeo Shi Dae fan and have memorized all 9 members’ names,” he went on listing, “Jessica, Soo Young, Hyo Yeon, YoonA, So Hee, Sun Ye”. Nothing wrong with the earlier 4 but So Hee and Sun Ye are actually members from the Wonder Girls.
He didn’t finish here. He then told YoonA, ” You made a name for yourself through acting (You Are My Destiny). The ratings were really good and you even received an acting award”, but after praising her with this comment, “frankly, it’s better to be active solo, right?” throwing her into confusion.
He then made Tiffany feel embarrassed with another remark, “Tiffany is extremely pretty, but she isn’t very bright though”. The reason for this comment was a picture in which she made a mistake in her dance choreography. Everybody had their right hand raised but Tiffany was the only one dancing with her left hand. The audience burst into laughter upon seeing the evidence.
He finished by mentioning, “Their new song Gee is 3 mins and 20 secs long (200 secs). But if you remove all the instrumental sections and chorus, each person only gets about 7 seconds. He received a lot of applause from the audience when he said, “Honestly, do you girls even know how to sing solos?”
