Sexy queen Son DamBi talks about her wish to film a CF together with Kpop diva Lee Hyori.
Recently for the filming of SBS ‘Strong Heart’ and she talked her wish to film a CF before her singer debut. She said, “Before I debuted, I really wanted to film a CF. And it was even the case since it will be filming with Lee Hyori.”
She revealed how much work she has put in to prepare for the audition to this CF but eventually she did not get to fulfill her wish.
The 2009 MAMA (Mnet Asia Music Awards) have been plagued with bad news from the very beginning and here’s some more.

From 2009, Mnet annual music event MKMF will be changed to Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA).
A live program took place on 23rd October in Seoul Tower and the idea of the new music awards ceremony was revealed. Previously on 16th October, the note “This year there will be no MKMF’ was posted on Mnet’s official homepage, the change of the music ceremony was to give it a new transformation as mentioned by Mnet.

Approximately 23,000 aspiring singers from elementary school students to those in their early 20s flocked to the JYP Entertainment’s talent search held in Seoul last month.
Only four were picked as JYP trainees, scheduled to go through the years-long training program before making their debut.
The record-high turnout in the audition came after the JYP trainee program gained the reputation of a machine producing K-pop idols, such as Wonder Girls and 2PM.
Not only JYP, but also other entertainment businesses have seen a huge number of aspiring stars participating in their talent searches.

Singer Son DamBi has been chosen as the model who has brought about the highest advertisment effect with her endorsement of Samsung Anycall ‘Haptic Amoled’ (W850/W8500/W8550).
CM Value Korea did a study on 1,200 views on the effect of advertisements aired on radio and cable TV in the month of August, and came out with ‘Advertisement effect Best 10′ chart.

August is the month where the girl group effect can be seen to be the most powerful.
For top 10 on music charts for the 1st week of august, 8 songs are songs by girl groups. For Mnet chart, for 1st week of August (3rd – 9th August) #1 goes to Brown Eyed Girls with ‘Abracadabra’, and #10 is also taken by Brown Eyed Girls with ‘Candy Man’.
KARA, who recently came back with their 2nd album, is at #2 and #7 with ‘Wanna’ and ‘Mister’.
T-ara and 2NE1 is at #5 and #6 with ‘Lies’ and ‘I Don’t Care’. The song ‘I Don’t Care’, released at the beginning of July, is still doing strong up music charts.
#9 goes to ‘Amoled’ a collaboration by Son DamBi and After School. and #8 goes to ‘NaengMyun’ by So Nyeo Shi Dae Jessica and Park MyungSoo. With that 8 spots out of the top 10 charts are from girl groups.

Singer Son DamBi gives away her first on-screen kiss on her debut drama ‘Dream’ to ‘flower boy fighter’ Kim Bum.
The 2 of them filmed the kissing scene in a club in GyeongGiDo CheonAhn. The kissing scene took place on top of a fighting ring.
Son DamBi plays TaeBo coach Park SoYeon and Kim Bum plays Lee JangSeok.
The kissing scene will be aired on 10th August.

Coming 28th October, the 3rd Mnet 20’s Choice 2009 will be held, and there are 20 award categories this time.
The ”2009 Mnet 20’s Choice’ is an event where youths in their 20s pick their choice of icons of Korean culture. And the award categories together with the nominees were revealed on 5th August on Mnet Wide News at 8pm.
There will be blue carpet ceremony, performances lineup and also award ceremony with a fresh feel to award the choice of the 20s.

It has been confirmed that singers Son DamBi, Lee MinWoo, 4Minute HyunA will be featured in the upcoming 1st single album ‘Attitude’ by the Brave Brothers to be released on 18th August.
The title song ‘Invisible’ will have Son DamBi and Lee MinWoo featured vocally, and Son DamBi will be appearing for the MV.
4Minute HyunA will be featured as a rapper in one of the songs in the album. The recording for the song ‘Invisible’ was done on 2nd August, and coming 5th August, Lee MinWoo will also be doing his part of the recording.
This single album ‘Attitude’ is 8 years in preparation by the Brave Brothers, and he wants to show that “this is really my music” through the hip hop and strong addictive beats and cyber sounds he used for this album.

The Brave Brothers (real name Kang Dong Chul) will be releasing his first single album ‘Attitude’ on 18th August. And there has been saying that Son DamBi and Big Bang, artistes who sang the songs he wrote, will be featured for this album.
From 2008 to 2009, Son DamBi has sung many hits written by the Brave Brothers like ‘Crazy’, ‘Saturday Night’; also there were Brown Eyed Girls with ‘What to do’, Big Bang with ‘Last Farewell’, After School with ‘Diva’. Brave Brothers have produced the many hits which took the Kpop zone by storm from 2008 to 2009. Not only did he write songs for the mainstream artistes, he has also worked on several underground artistes’ albums.
He said, “I am very thankful that the featured singers not only helped out with the songs, they even appeared for my MV. I am very thankful for these singers I have worked with this period of time. This album will bring good music with a new level of beat and sound.”
