Looks like Se7en will go back to the US after all! After it was revealed that the YG Entertainment solo artist was preparing for his Korean comeback at G-Dragon’s concert, some wondered whether he gave up on the American market.
Regarding this issue, a representative of YG Entertainment stated:
Although Se7en released his US debut single Girls, it is not right to say that he had a proper debut with activities. Se7en is sorry to all his fans. He is thinking to payback with his great music and stage through his Korean comeback. … For a new start [at the US market], Se7en recently visited major music label companies throughout the week and came back. Because of the positive discussions he had, you can expect good news. … In Se7en’s Korea/US/Japan projects, we are not only working on his musical releases, but we are working on various other fields.
Se7en will be making his official return to the k-pop scene at G-Dragon’s first solo concert (Shine a light) on December 5th and 6th at the Seoul Olympic Stadium.
G-Dragon stated his enthusiasm: “This is my first solo concert and I wanted Se7en to perform as a guest badly, as I was so close with him during my training years, but I couldn’t say anything and waited patiently.”

Singer Se7en will be back releasing a new album in Korea after 3 years.
Se7en, who has started working on his American music market advance in 2006 and has been preparing for his debut in America recently, is back in Korea recently, and had announced the released of his upcoming album, resuming his promotional activities in Korea. Also, there are also plans for him to promote in Japan. This is definitely good news for Korean and Japanese fans who have been waiting for his comeback.
A YG Entertainment representative said, “We have decided that Se7en will release a new album this year. The album will be released simultaneously in Korea and Japan and he will also be doing the promotions.”
The representative added, “This is not the end to this American activities. He will be advancing the American market looking at it in the long term view.”

Over the years, as the Korean wave has touched the shores of Asian countries, several popular singers have tried to make it in the Asian market. Rain, Se7en and Yangpa have been among the notable flops, and BoA is currently releasing singles and videos in the United States. Now the group Wonder Girls is trying, with much fanfare, to make an impact. The group made its television debut on “The Wendy Williams Show” in July and is currently an opening act for the insanely popular Jonas Brothers.
The Korean media is, of course, uniformly excited, but the online community is more ambivalent. Regarding the performance on The Wendy Williams Show, 3gyupsal writes: “Three girls sang, and they lip-synched the chorus. One girl was obviously digitally assisted”.
Coming 28th October, the 3rd Mnet 20’s Choice 2009 will be held, and there are 20 award categories this time.
The ”2009 Mnet 20’s Choice’ is an event where youths in their 20s pick their choice of icons of Korean culture. And the award categories together with the nominees were revealed on 5th August on Mnet Wide News at 8pm.
There will be blue carpet ceremony, performances lineup and also award ceremony with a fresh feel to award the choice of the 20s.

Initiated by Rain’s world tour concert in 2005, Korean pop singers are trying to break the U.S. entertainment industry. But it remains yet to be seen whether Korean pop stars will be able to be as successful as they are in Korea.
Pop star Rain has repeatedly made forays into the North American continent as a potential Hollywood star. His first Hollywood movie, “Speed Racer,” (2008) paved the way for him to star in “Ninja Assassin,” (2009). The new movie, upon its release in November, is expected to strongly influence his potential performance as a singer in the United States.
Another Korean pop sensation, Se7en entered the U.S. music field in 2006, following his Japanese debut in 2005. After three years of preparation, the singer released his first single, “Girls,” in March. But despite his solid Asian fan base, Se7en still does not have much recognition in the United States.
Showing off BoA, TVXQ, Big Bang, SNSD, 2PM, etc, who have led the music industry for all ages of audience, they will be on a talk show about their secret life. The channel that would be airing this talk show is MBC’s every1 new variety show, “21st Generation Idol Army.” The host will be talking about stars who debuted big like BoA, Rain, Se7en, TVXQ, Wonder Girls, SNSD, Super Junior and more, showing pictures and videos of them when they were trainees and about to debuting.
There would be a broadcast of their hit songs and their fans support.
The 10th of July was the first broadcast featuring Big Bang & Shinhwa, from their debut era to their recent activities, doing a comparison. Having to depend on the fans to deliver food such as seaweed rice to make it through in life, because their looks weren’t the best and got rejected by the music industry, music group SG wannabe will talk about their sorrows together with the other stars.
Furthermore, the show would be introducing artistes’ debut hairstyles and fashion trends, creating a stir in the fashion industry. “21st Generation Idol Army” started last 10th July, 6PM.

Talent Park Han Byul revealed that her boyfriend singer Se7en does more aegyo (act cute) than herself.
She revealed on KBS Entertainment Weekly on 13th June, “I don’t call him by ‘dear’ or ‘darling’ because it is just not my character to do so. So on the phone, I normally call him by ‘yaa’.”
She added, “Instead Se7en has more aegyo than me”. And about their 7 years late reveal of their love relationship, she said, “We are so sorry for acknowledging it. But until now it still doesn’t feel real to me. To be in an interview like this talking about my relationship with Se7en has been my dream.”
