[NEWS] G-Dragon and TaeYang to Perform ‘Korean Dream’ on MAMA

Big Bang GDragon and TaeYang will have their first duet stage since debut.

Coming 21st November for 2009 Mnet Asian Music Awards (2009 MAMA)’, the 2 will perform together on one stage. They will be performing the song ‘Korean Dream’ off GDragon’s first solo album, featuring TaeYang. This will be their first time performing a duet stage since their debut as Big Bang, and much anticipation is in for this performance.

PSY revealed in a recent interview that he thinks G-Dragon is a very good role model and the most talented out of all the idols.

As a songwriter, he was asked about his hoobaes and he answered, “In terms of talent, it’sBig Bang. Especially, G-Dragon. He’s so good. Idols that do real music and just plain idols have different futures ahead of them. If the idols right now can do music independently and compose themselves, they will have the same energy and passion they have right now 10 years later. G-Dragon will be one of them.”

[NEWS] Se7en to Perform at G-Dragon’s Concert

Se7en will be making his official return to the k-pop scene at G-Dragon’s first solo concert (Shine a light) on December 5th and 6th at the Seoul Olympic Stadium.

G-Dragon stated his enthusiasm: “This is my first solo concert and I wanted Se7en to perform as a guest badly, as I was so close with him during my training years, but I couldn’t say anything and waited patiently.”

Maslo who? Maslo (pronounced meh-sul-lo) is famous to those in touch with the Korean underground hip hop scene. Maslo teamed up with another underground artist from Soul Connection named “JEPP” to release an album called “BLACKOUT.”

If the album cover didn’t do it, their song which is identical to GD’s “Heartbreaker” will certainly create a buzz amongst VIP’s and netizens alike.

The “BLACKOUT” album was digitally released today and they will perform this song for the first time at an underground showcase at November 3rd.

[NEWS] G-Dragon Chosen as Idol Who Could Pursue Acting

Sidus HQ Training Center C.A.S.T. by iHQ, a center for training actors in Korea, took a survey of which idol star would succeed in acting.

The survey was open for 5 days from October 28th to November 1st and in the end Big Bang’s G-Dragon won 217 votes taking the lead for the male category

The runner-ups were Ok Taecyeon of 2PM ,earned 174 votes

The people who took the survey reasoned that G-Dragon has given great acting performances in Big Bang’s music videos and he always gives a powerful performance on stage. People also commented that if he became an actor he could take on any kind of role from a cute boy to a charismatic guy.

Big Bang GDragon’s solo album ‘Heartbreaker’ has been ruled as inappropriate for youths.

Health and Family Welfare association under the Youth Protection Committee has revealed on 3rd November that GDragon’s first solo album ‘Heartbreak’ is inappropriate for youth. And in particular the 2 problematic songs from the album are ‘She’s Gone’ and ‘Korean Dream’.

[NEWS] G-Dragon Concert Tickets Sold Out in 10 Minutes!

I’m sure you guys were trying to find some way to get to G-Dragon’s “Shine A Light” concert after watching the commercial. But unfortunately, you probably can’t.

As soon as the first round of tickets went on sale, they were gone! In 10 minutes, fans had already reserved 12,000 seats at the Seoul Olympic Stadium. Approximately 10,000 fans fought for tickets and 1 out of 10 were lucky enough to get them for this highly anticipated concert.
