Lee Changmin, Jung Jinwoon, Im Seulong, these three 2AM members, after MBC’Sunday Sunday Night’ (Sunday Night)’s ‘Oppa Band’ and ‘No Da Ji’, will be on the modified program ‘Sunday Night Drama Parody Theatre’ as the Pretty boy F4 in November.

It’s probable that Jokwon, who is receiving love from fans for his ‘Liveliness’, will not be a Pretty boy but another part. About this, the producer hinted that, “Jo Kwon has more lines than the other members”.

[NEWS] Kim SoEun Gets Sued

Despite initially stating that there were no issues with Kim So Eun’s withdrawal from 4th Period Murder Mystery movie in June, the production company, Sway Entertainment has now backtracked on that decision and have filed a lawsuit against Kim So Eun.

Sway Entertainment filed a lawsuit with the Seoul Central Court on 22nd September, asking for Kim So Eun to return all appearance fees paid to her during the filming of the movie and compensation for her backing out of the contract.

The lawsuit stated that Sway Entertainment had given Kim So Eun 40 million KRW as appearance fees. But due to fatique and scheduling conflicts, Kim So Eun had to drop the movie role in the middle of filming. Sway Entertainment claimed that although Kim So Eun said that she was exhausted, she still went on to film a MV for 8Eight and appear at other events, and thus failed to adhere to terms as stated in the contract.

[NEWS] Lee MinHo’s Trip to Singapore Delayed

Lee Minho’s trip to Singapore on 10th October has been delayed.

But the good news is that Lee Minho will still be in Singapore two weeks later instead, on 24th October for a 2D1N promotional trip. No further details were made available again but the new date will be ideal for those who couldn’t find time earlier to chase him around Singapore and bad luck unfortunately for those who have already made plans earlier.

[NEWS] Goo HyeSun to Release Music Album End-August, Featuring Isao Sasaki

Goo HyeSun will be releasing a new music album coming end-August, after participating in all fields of talents like movie acting, novels, art galleries etc.

This album is a preview to the music which is going to be include in her first movie. She will show off her hidden music talents through composing and written her own music for this album.

Goo HyeSung, “Feeling that it would be good to give a music preview before the movie and that’s why I will be releasing the album first.”

What is anticipating about this album is that it will feature famous Japanese vocalist Isao Sasaki, who is known for his newage film ‘Sky Walker’. Isao Sasaki will also be appearing to perform the song ‘Over The Rainbow’ during Goo HyeSun’s album release commemoration event on 5th September in Seoul Olympic Park Art Hall.

[NEWS] Boys Before Flowers Cast Supports SS501 in Concert

Several months after their drama sensation Boys Before Flowers ended, (most of) the cast members — Kim Bum, Lee Min-ho, and Gu Hye-sun — reconvened to cheer on their former castmate Kim Hyun-joong at a concert for his pop group SS501. (The fourth F4 member, Kim Joon, was unable to attend as he is currently performing in his musical theater debut.)

The August 1 concert was held in Seoul and kicked off the “SS501 1st Asia Tour Concert in Seoul, Persona.”

This isn’t the first post-drama reunion for these actors; they have shown their support for each other at various events: Lee Min-ho’s first fanmeeting and birthday party was attended by Kim Hyun-joong and Kim Joon), Gu Hye-sun’s art exhibition visited by Lee Min-ho and Kim Joon, and Kim Hyun-joong also appeared in the MV for Kim Joon’s solo single.

[NEWS] ‘Boys Over Flowers’ and ‘Girl Group Generation’ are #1 and #2 Top Searched Keywords by Young People In Their 20s

For the young people in their 20s, the top searched keywords for the year 2009 is ‘Boys Over Flowers’.

Coming 28th August will be the 3rd ‘Mnet 20’s Choice’, and it has been known the top searched keywords amongst the 20s is ‘Boys Over Flowers’, followed by ‘girl group generation’ at #2, and then ‘Kim YunA syndrome’ at #3.

A survey was done in June-July amongst 300 young people in their 20s online, another 200 offline and 40 trend leader groups.

Other hot keywords for this year for fashion are ‘bling bling’, ‘vivid’, ‘wavy perms’, and for societal issues, the top searched are ‘Michael Jaskon’, ‘Cho Shik Nam’, and ‘Youth unemployment’.

Other top searched for stars in yaer 2009 are 2PM, 2NE1, So Nyeo Shi Dae, TaeBongie (a role played by Yoon SangHyun), Park BoYoung, Lee Seung Gi etc.

Actress-author-artist-composer-director Ku Hye Sun sat down for an interview with Elle Girl. Translated excerpts are beyond the jump.

Elle Girl (EG): You surprised [everyone] by publishing a novel this spring; this time it’s drawings. What are you feelings about opening your first art exhibition at La Mer Gallery?
Ku Hye Sun (KHS): I’ve thought about it from awhile ago, but I didn’t know that it would be exhibited like this. After receiving the proposal from WITH (YG Entertainment’s charity campaign), I figured it would be more meaningful to do it [like this] than by myself and proceeded quickly.

EG: I’m aware that you dreamt about entering an Arts high school back in your schooling days. How did you become familiar with pictures?
KHS: I liked drawing pictures since I was young. And my friends and I would also paint murals on our neighbourhood walls. But my skills weren’t particularly outstanding, just to the level that my teacher would occasionally post a picture I drew in art class on the classroom wall. The friends I hung out with were so multi-talented that I never thought that I grew up without thinking that I was special. But now I often hear the words, ‘Why do you do so many [activities]?’

F4 Kim Bum will be acting in a totally different character for his next piece. Kim Bum will be in a new SBS drama, “Dream – Drama” as the character Lee Jang-seok.

Being an actor involves in changing images and transformations into a new person for every piece of work. So, this time Kim will be taking on a new role and hopes that the fans from “Boys over Flowers” will not feel betrayed or disappointed in a different image of Kim through this new drama.

Kim will take a more masculine and tough character because his character is a skilled pickpocket as a teen and a kickboxing athelete as a young man.

This Korean-Japanese drama shows the world of sports business through different characters’ ambitions, despairs, love, and maturity.

The drama will be aired this 27th.

[NEWS] 2NE1 Park Bom, “There Were Plans For Me, Goo HyeSun and Sandara Park To Be In A Trio”

Newcomer 4-member group 2NE1 member Park Bom revealed that there were actually plans for her to be in a trio group together with Sandara Park and Goo Hye Sun.

Park Bom was with the other 2NE1 members attending the exhibiting of fellow YG artistes Goo Hye Sun as shown on 2NE1 TV aired on 22nd. During the show, the girls had given their congratulatory greetings to Goo Hye Sun, she smiled and looked at the camera, “I will appear here too? So you will do a HyeSunTV too?”

With that Park Bom said, “In 2005, I heard that YG had wanted me, Sandara Park, and Goo Hye Sun to be in a 3-member group.” and Sandara Park who was just standing beside her nodded.

Goo Hye Sun said, “Really? How come I didn’t get to know this?” She gave a surprised look but continued, “It’s a good thing he didn’t. I’m not good at singing.”
