[NEWS] ‘You’re Beautiful’ PD Hong Reveals Reason for Casting UEE

PD Hong SeongChan of SBS ongoing hit drama ‘You’re Beautiful’ reveals the reason why After School member UEE was casted as character Yoo HeYi on the show.

PD Hong said in a recent interview, “We did many auditions for the casting of character Yoo HeYi in the show, and UEE was one of the auditionees. We decided to test the auditionees for crying scenes without giving them any hints before that. UEE did a good crying scene almost instantly and we casted her immediately.”

[NEWS] Son Dambi-After School Say No To MAMA

The 2009 MAMA (Mnet Asia Music Awards) have been plagued with bad news from the very beginning and here’s some more.

Along with the two trot singers and SM Entertainment boycotting the MAMA’s, Pledis Entertainment and their stars After School and Son Dambi have announced that they will not be attending the award show as well.

[NEWS] UEE Tears After Receiving Special Event by ‘Husband’ Park JaeJung

After School UEE tears after being touched by an event prepared by her ‘husband’ Park JaeJung on MBC We Got Married aired on 31st October.

In this episode, the 2 went on a campus date, making a visit to Park JaeJung’s college. They played basketball together and went to visit the club which Park JaeJung used to belong to when he was a college student.

UEE who has not spent much time in school said, “I am really envious of Park JaeJung who works hard at the things he want to do.”

And then Park JaeJung did an event which brought tears to UEE’s eyes.

[NEWS] Soo Young Leaves After School

After School SoYoung will officially leave the group.

Yoo SoYoung’s representative said in a phone interview on 29th October, “She has decided to leave the group. She is currently discussing through this issue with the company.”

Already previously, there has been suspicion about SoYoung leaving the group. Especially since awhile ago, she has not been appearing for the group’s schedules and activities, causing curiosity amongst fans. And amongst many fans online, it became the topic of ‘After School SoYoung graduated?”

From 2009, Mnet annual music event MKMF will be changed to Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA).

A live program took place on 23rd October in Seoul Tower and the idea of the new music awards ceremony was revealed. Previously on 16th October, the note “This year there will be no MKMF’ was posted on Mnet’s official homepage, the change of the music ceremony was to give it a new transformation as mentioned by Mnet.

[NEWS] After School’s BekAh Reassures Fans That SoYoung is Fine

Fans from all over the world have been worried about After School’s So Young, who has been missing from After School’s events and appearances for the past month. However, After School’s fierce rapper Bekah reassures fans that So Young is going to be fine.

Pledis Entertainment, the company managing After School, stated that So Young was given time off to deal with personal matters. Rumors have been circulating about what has happened to So Young, from a death in her family to her having health problems. Whatever the cause of So Young’s absence, fans have been worried about So Young’s well being.

Cho Sin Sung (Supernova), Tiara and MBLAQ were also some of the invited performers for the night.

After School UEE and 2NE1 Sandara Park will be appearing on SBS ‘Family Outing’.

The 2 will be taking part as guest appearance in mid-October on the show.

After School UEE sends birthday wishes to her close friend WonderGirls YooBin.

UEE wrote on her minihompy on 4th October, “Happy birthday to you~ Happy birthday to you~~~ Happy birthday to my beloved YooBin~~~ㅋㅋㅋ Jjakjjakjjakjjak (clapping)!!!^^ㅋㅋㅋ”

After School is making a cameo appearance on the new idol drama, “You’re Beautiful” as a girl group named… Before School!

After School member, UEE, has a supporting role in the new drama, “You’re Beautiful” and her fellow group members are making a cameo appearance as Before School, a girl group that is under the same company as the main focus of the show, flower boy group, A.N.JELL.

[NEWS] G-Dragon, 2NE1, and After School for a Mini Concert

G-Dragon, 2NE1, and After School will join together for a mini-concert at Lotte World, one of Korea’s most popular amusement parks.

On October 16th, the event will start at 11:30PM and lead to 4:30AM. The event is celebrating the establishment and 10th anniversary of Lotte Cinema and is called “Birth Night Party.”
