The cameo appearance of Han Chae Young last week has no doubt give “Boys Before Flowers” a boost, ratings wise and performance wise, with many viewers acknowledging Han Chae Young to be best portrayal of Shizuka out of the three (Taiwan, Japan, South Korea). But tonight, Han Chae Young will leave the drama and end her cameo role with a kiss scene with Kim Hyun Joong.
In episode 3 to be aired tonight, Min Seo Hyun (Han Chae Young) will announce her independence from her family during her birthday party. This announcement not only indicates the maturity of Min Seo Hyun, but also means that she who decides to leave Korea, will have to breakup with Yoon Ji Hoo (Kim Hyun Joong).
Despite the rest of the F4 and Geun Jandi (Goo Hye Sun) being worried for Ji Hoo, Ji Hoo appears to be rather calm on the surface. However, he now bears a grudge against Seo Hyun in his heart. He asks Seo Hyun what does he really mean to her. Seo Hyun said: “If there is someone here who I’m unable to abandon, that person is you.”
The climax of tonight’s episode is probably the kiss scene between Han Chae Young and Kim Hyun Joong after the conversation. After the successful completion of the scene, Han Chae Young said: “Playing a cameo role in ‘Boys Before Flowers’ is an interesting experience to me. I hope the viewership will be able to soar to a new high in the future.”
As for Kim Hyun Joong, he expressed: “It takes a lot of courage to film a kiss scene with Han Chae Young. I have no idea how I did for the kiss scene, so I will have to watch the episode to find out.”
“Boys Before Flowers” achieved a 17.6% TV rating on just episode 2 last week. Will the kiss scene help push it past the 20% mark tonight?
