[TRANS] What’s in: Fantasy Star Dec ‘08

21 12 2008

Although it’s a little sudden, this month’s [Fantasy Star] will be the last installment of our long running, 4 year serial publication. This series has been filled with their history in Japan. So, we take a look back at what we’ve done so far

★Final Installment ★
This is the 48th installment of this long running serious. The members have all be doing this installment after installment, happily, without any complaints! This time, we asked them which installment was the best and the most disastrous, etc. and also, we asked what they’d like to do if we do another series and their dreams!

—-Everyone, it’s finally the finally installment!
YH: Seriously, this series is THSK’s history. Looking at the pictures we took when we first stepped into Japan, our faces look like babies *laughs*
JS: And we slowly started having an adult face. We’ve grown older!
YC: I think Changmin has changed the most. Changmin has become an adult *laughs*
CM: I think so too *laughs* However, I think Junsu had the most amazing transformation
JS: I become more handsome, huh?
CM: No, you’re aging *laughs*

—-Which was the installment that left the deepest impression on you?
CM: The barbeque. It was great
JJ: Picking strawberries. It was really fun! It was delicious and we were really happy since it was the first time the 5 of us picked strawberries. Also, we even came up with the ‘Strawberries, strawberries, I want to eat them~’ song *laughs*
YC: Making cakes with our own hands was really fun! Surprisingly, all of us managed to do it adeptly.

—Everyone seems to be only talking about food *laughs* What about Junsu?
JS: Playing with snow on the roof. We were playing like kids because it was the first time we saw such heavy snowfall in Japan.
YH: When we first came to Japan, we couldn’t speak Japanese well and we took a long time to do one installment of this series but as we slowly got more competent in Japanese, it seemed like we took a shorter time to get this done.

—-You guys are always busy and although we didn’t seem to travel much with you guys, thank you for always doing the installments so cheerfully!
CM: Even so, the 5 of us are extremely thankful. Through this series, we made takoyaki for the first time, and played fukuwarai (T/N: game like ‘pin the tail on the donkey’)…
YH: And did ninin baori. We also experienced Japanese culture for ourselves through this series

—-And the most trying/difficult installment?
JJ: The food cart (yatai). It was really hot that day. However, it wasn’t that bad because the food was good
YH: The game when we had to guess ice cream flavors was difficult!
YC: Ninin baori was difficult too…
CM: Drawing the logo for our ‘T’ tour

—-Changmin seems to dislike drawing.
YC: Darts was difficult too….Seems like there were many difficult things!
JS: Playing with clay was difficult!
–Yunho had to run around the record company shouting ‘I’m Rambo!’ for the forfeit game
YH: That was a dark memory for me *laughs*

—Who do you think of when you think of this game?
JJ: Junsu. Evil Junsu *laughs*
YC: Yunho then wasn’t Yunho at all *laughs*

—Changmin filmed Yunho doing this forfeit. Do you still have that video?
CM: I still have it…. (Changmin starts looking for it as he speaks) Ah, it’s not here since I’m carrying a different hand phone. However, I have this (A funny video of Junsu starts playing and everyone bursts out laughing upon seeing it)

–Okay, okay, everyone. Let’s continue! This has really been a series filled with laughter. However, since it’s already the last installment this time, if we were to start a new series with [What’s In], what would you like to do?
JJ: Travel! I want to go overseas!
JS: I want to go to Las Vegas!

—-That wouldn’t be a series *bitter laugh*
JJ: We can go to Hawaii and the magazine can record our personal experiences overseas
YC: That would be fun

—-Even so, it still isn’t a series *laughs*
YC: Ummm~How about us doing various repairs? Something simple?
YH: Or volunteering to clean places
JJ: So, please clean my room
CM: Please do it yourself *laughs*

—–Coming up with a plan seems pretty hard.
YC: Having a gaming challenge at a game center. It’s hard to come up with something to do since we’ve already done so many things through this series
JJ: If we were to do the series again, we’d like to do all the fun things that can possibly be done. Therefore, we’ll come up with all sorts of things to do until then and we’ll start the series again! (All the members clap here)

—-Will you really think about it?
JJ: I’ve already decided on what we’ll be doing for the first installment. Personal experiences of THSK in Hawaii! *laughs*
JS: And for the second installment, Las Vegas!!
—-And I shall ignore that *laughs*

★Reflections ★
THSK’s series has really come to an end. We asked the members to share their thoughts with us. Thank you very much!

JS: (The members were telling Junsu who was pretending to wipe his tears away ‘Stop pretending to cry!” before Junsu entered the room) Hmm? I’m crying in my heart *laughs* I’ve always been really thankful for this series. I love [What’s In]. Thank you. I’ve always been looking forward to what we’ll be doing next in Japan because of this series. I think this series has really shown our usual, natural selves to everyone.

YC: What’s In. I was saying what you can tell about this magazine’s content from its title. During this 4 years, THSK has always been continuously appearing in [What’s In]. Although it has ended, I sincerely wish that there’ll be another series with us together with [What’s In] and wish that I can do it forever. Till we can show everyone that THSK has really matured during this time. From now on, we’ll work hard to grow and mature!

JJ: I sincerely thank you very very much! That’s what I wanted to say. We’ve been working with [What’s In] even before our debut and for those who’d like to know what we’ve done this past 4 years. Please read this series. Although graduating from [What’s In] after 4 years has left a hole in my heart and left me feeling lonely (As he’s talking, beside him, Junsu starts singing [Auld Lang Syne] Although there’s a person singing beside me *laughs*, I want to make new memories with [What’s In]. Please take care of us!

CM: [What’s In] has always been with THSK from the time before debut till today and I think of [What’s In] as part of THSK’s family. You’ve given us lots of help and assistance! Although the series has ended, I’m happy that we can still meet again in future. Also, being in a Japanese magazine series continuously for 4 years………. I really want to thank you.

YH: During our series with [What’s In], we’ve learnt many things about Japanese culture and general knowledge. It was a series that really helped us assimilate into life in Japan. 4 years feels short, but is actually really long, doing the series every month (for the past 4 years)…. It’s great that everyone can see THSK’s growth through this series. As THSK would like to grow more in future, we wouldn’t forget the things we’ve experienced this past 4 years and move towards growth one step at a time
